At first this was just something I said when some friends repeatedly wanted us to watch NCIS. I said to my boyfriend: "I bet there is one TV show for each letter of the Alphabet I'd rather watch.

So here is my list:

A
ALF - I always watched it, when I was younger.

Ally Mc Beal - Alas I have never seen the end of it.

Angel - I think this would be my actual favourite in this category.

Atlantis - See Stargate.

B
Babylon5 - Decent sci-fi show.

Battlestar Galactica (New Series) - This is one of my absolute favourites.

Buffy - Hard to decide which I like more, Buffy or BSG... so I guess this makes two for B

C
I actually don't have a show with C I watch regularly or have watched in the past.
I have seen a few episodes of the following three.

Charlies Angles - Some time ago, well. I would probably watch something else before this.

CSI - I just watched an episode today, I am just a bit confused with all the spinoffs.

Charmed - I know that many people who liked Buffy also liked this, I however don't find it that special.

D

Dawson's Creek - The only show with D I watched more than once. It was alright I guess.

Deep Space Nine - Yes, I have listed it under Star Trek as well. Bad girl!

(actually in German we would have House here, as it is called Dr. House there, but as my blog is in English, I will leave that for later.)

E
Enterprise - Not as bad as some said. Not worse than the end of Voyager....

And if anyone says, that this belongs to S, as in Star Trek... If I had to, I'd watch George Clooney in ER.

F

Friends - definitely Friends. "We were on a break!"

Firefly - Alas there isn't enough of this show to judge it against Friends.

Farscape - or the prequel to the later Stargate SG-1? The series was great, but the end... no, I did not like it, it felt rushed... Like trying to find a quick solution to the problem of the open end...

Full House - This was good, when I was about 12 or so...

Futurama - I am not a big fan of these type of show but if any, then this one, I guess, or South Park?

G

Galactica - now that's cheating, isn't it? But it gives Buffy the B-spot.

H

Hercules - I always connect this show with Latin homework. Probably because it was always on on Sundays and I waited for the last moment to do my Monday- Latin-Homework.

House - I like the humour and it is the only medical series that's not boring.

I
I??? I've never heard of any of the shows listed here:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_U.S._television_series#I

J

JAG - This was on after Voyager for some time.

Joey - Not a brilliant as friends, but decent enough.

K

King of Queens - Quite alright if you need something to laugh.

L

L-Word - The same friend (or one of them) who wants us to watch NCIS also brought along this show. What shall I say. Love it or hate it.

Lost ??? - I must confess I have not seen it, yet. And I don't feel like just jumping into it, in the middle of the show. I have to rent the first season, I guess...

M

Magnum - Sexy man, at least that's what I thought a while ago. He's still alright, I guess.

N
Well, here we are, NCIS category....

NUMB3RS - I have seen about two episodes. I like it, especially since it has a lot to do with the stuff I learned at university. I'd watch more if I had the time. But there are other shows higher up in my priority list.

O
SKIP

P

Prince of Bel-Air - I love Will Smith!!! And yes, I cheated again, it is originally called The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air but not where I live, so... F was full anyway.

Q

Quantum Leap - Hello Captain Archer. Well this show is quite old-fashioned, but ok...

R

Remington Steele - I also love Pierce Brosnan.

Roseanne - Long time ago, but yes, I watched that too.

S

Star Trek ... - Oh I love TNG (Data and Riker and... well all of them), I hate Kirk, I love Sisko without hair and Janeway, well not a big fan of her and don't like her hair at all!

Stargate ... - I love O'Neill and Daniel Jackson, and Atlantis is alright too, my favourite there is Rodney McKay.

Please count Stargate SG-1 as I might use the other shows at A, D, E, T and V.

T

TNG - see Star Trek.

24 (Twenty-four) - I LOOOOOOOOVE this show, unfortunately I have to watch this alone, as my boyfriend gets too nervous when watching it. So I always tape it and watch it all in one go (using headphones), when he's busy, but he keeps asking what's happening so I usually tell him all the events of 4 hours in 15 minutes.

U
nope

V

Voyager - Decent series except for Janeway's hair and the finish...

W

Witchblade - I have only seen one episode as I never figured out if the show even made it to German television.

X

X-Files - Mulder and Scully, they are something...

Xena - I have not seen this as often, I preferred Hercules.

Y & Z
I had two for X so don't complain!
I named this article (1) as I suspect that I might write more than just this one article.

A few days ago I decided to force my boyfriend to watch TNG again, basically because he said he wanted to watch something we haven't watched during the last three months. (What he probably meant is that he is not willing to watch Buffy or Stargate again, damn...)

We have just watched the last two seasons of Voyager and all episodes of Enterprise (during some computer work we did...) And we also have watched all Battlestar Galactica (New Series) during the evenings.

So now we are watching TNG. I don't understand why everyone always condemns the first season of any series, as this was a quite good start - maybe that is because it was a quite good series. They had the best characters in my opinion and none of the other Star Trek series' had Data!

Now we have reached this silly Episode called Too Short a Season - this must be one of the worst Episodes... How boring, who cares about this silly Admiral getting younger and younger. We already have one Wesley.

This is probably going to be a rant...

It started with the Star Trek movie "Nemesis" and the Series "Enterprise", when I first noticed a new fan-behaviour for which I believe the internet can be blamed. Someone said the series/film was bad and a lot of people joined in, before they'd even seen it. And I think that when they finally saw it, their minds very so poisoned by the constant bickering of some, that they could not really enjoy it. I know that after some time I had difficulties to do so.

Next up was the James Bond movie "Die Another Day". Some say it's the worst of the Bond movies, I think that's totally silly, since this Bond is "the other movies". Everyone who can not see it, must be blind or has not seen the other movies. I can understand when one does not consider this his/her favourite movie (I don't do either) but it wasn't all bad. And I believe that everything that was "bad" was fully intentional, that's what made this movie unique, that's why it was the 20th.

And then... they announce a new Bond. Daniel Craig.... and what happens? Some Fans band together and start hate-campaings and websitest. This makes me feel sad.

I admit I was in doubt when they announced "Alex West" - a second-class grave robber who'd work for the highest bidder from Tomb Raider, who is also blonde - as next James Bond. Especially since I really liked Pierce Brosnan (in my opinion it's a shame he couldn't have been cast earlier).

But I gave him a chance - unlike others who like to call themselves fans. These are not fans, fans don't talk bad about a movie they haven't even seen.

After seeing Casino Royale, I was really impressed. It was a really good movie and Daniel Craig did really well. And he really messed up my "favourite-Bond"-list. I actually don't know where to put him. If I compare him to Brosnan (I think it would be unfair to compare him to Connery or Moore as those were other times...) I have to say - and that is my personal impression - that if posing for a foto, Brosnan is my favourite Bond, but in action I think I prefer Daniel Craig. With Brosnan I sometimes had the feeling that he didn't like to get his suit dirty, he was the gentleman through and through, while Daniel Craig is the spy, who likes to get dirty. He also had something about him that reminded of Sean Connery, a modern day Connery perhaps.

I am really looking forward to the next movie (and the Blu Ray release of Casino Royale). And what makes me really happy is that even though some silly people wanted to boycott the movie it did quite good.

In some contries it was the best start of a Bond movie ever, often in the top three of the year and I think it was in the UK where it even came in third as one of the biggest opening weekends of all time after Harry Potter 4 and Pirates of the Caribbean 2. And if that wasn't enough, ratings on imdb are excellent, it even scored 8.0 out of 10 (subject to change, it has actually gone down from 8.1 since I am watching it). No other Bond movie is as high at the moment. Don't we feel silly now dear Daniel-Craig-haters? Give him a chance! Everyone deserves a chance.

DaPete found this (at least that's the information I have - and it is very likely, since he seems to be turning into a Wil Wheaton fan ) and he told janjan about it, who told me....

Anyway, Wil Wheaton has been reviewing some TNG Episodes on tvsquad.com. You can find them listed here: http://www.tvsquad.com/bloggers/wil-wheaton/

They are quite interesting and amusing and prove that Wil Wheaton is an interesting person, and I'd very much like to meet him on a convention some time, hopefully he'll come to Germany (or England) one day, or I fear I'll have to go to a US convention. But I've heard that they are not as good as they used to be and that the atmosphere on European conventions is much nicer.

I started reading the book this morning. Why do I suddenly have this feeling that "Harry Potter" reminds me of something?

The Ministry of Magic is basically the same as the Men in Black, and Hogwards is a lot like Xavier's Shool for Gifted Youngsters, besides that the word Hogwards itself reminds me of Hogswatch...

And also the Prime Minister missunderstands the name "Sirius Black" and thinks it's Serious Black, which is just like our silly LeeChaolan/Violet Character with Harry Potter touch, we have named Serious Violet.

Of course the joke was too obvious.

I have browsed through wikipedia and from the Walk of Fame I came to Patrick Stewart and from there to X-Men.

This brought me to the internet movie database and X-Men 3. On Hugh Jackmans page I found a movie titled Wolverine listed... Wow, they are really going to do not only a third X-Men movie, but also a Wolverine spinn-off? Wolverine is a great character and I think this makes sense. I just hope that they have a great story for him. He was good in X-Men, but without other cool characters to interact with, he might be a bit boring...

I have also learned one thing about the X-Men movies, I didn't know yet.
Apparently someone called Dougray Scott, whom I have never heard off was supposed to play Wolverine but he was too busy playing some baddy in a very questionable (hehe) movie called Mission: Impossible II. I have looked at his picture, and I have to say, he's not Wolverine. I'm so glad that they had to pick Hugh Jackman!!!!

Last week I have bought a new DVD "Last Samurai" with Tom Cruise. I am not a huge fan of Tom Cruise but I think he is surprisingly good in this movie. Strangely enough I find him more attracktive, when he is looking ugly (unshaved, messy...).

Anyway, the DVD was cheap 10 Euros for the 2DVD Version. And it seems that somehow I have started collecting Movies that have something to do with Japan ("James Bond You only live twice" - the only Bond Movie I have by the way - and "Kill Bill", I desperately need "Lost in Translation" )

We have asked ourselfes why the Enterprise Crew can always speak with any alien race when they don't have the communicator we know from the later shows.

Well my idea is that when Hoshi has learned their language they can all speak it. It's like a group ability in Kingdom Hearts.

Normally I wanted to go to the cinema later but both Garfield and Catwoman aren't on anymore. I don't really understand why, there are older crappier films that are still running... And till now I haven't had the time to watch these two movies. It seems that now it's to late.

All the other movies I don't want to see. All boring! What's the alternative? A "Video"? I only have a few and none of them seems right, but I don't want to go to the rental store, I bet my annual fee has to be paid, and what do they have for me? I bet nothing...

This lake looks so fake on TV, if I remember correctly it didn't on the big screen, but it does now.

I cannot tell which movie is better, the first or the second. Wolverine babysitting the whole school was just sooooo cool, but so was the cage fight in part one. I like them both, I guess.

My favourtie in the second part is where the police officer says to Logan: "Drop the knives."
Today I just felt like watching the first X-Men Movie again. What a good choice to pick Hugh Jackman for Wolverine. I love Wolverine, did I mention that. I still couldn't get that Wolverine/Witchblade Comic Crossover which makes me very sad. Logan and Sara, isn't that sweet?

And while I am at it: nobody went to see Catwoman with me!!! Halle Berry is one of my favourite actresses. Maybe next time I get to Saturn (the number one electronic store here) I will pick up the last Bond movie then I will have my revenge.

Patrick Stewart... he's at a convention near where I live in October, but I am not sure if I should go there. - I will not get an autograph anyway... And I have limited my conventions to one per year and that's the Fedcon. An excellent convention. If you ever come to Bonn/Germany that's where you have to go.

They had Ray Park there last year. He played Toad in X-Men and more importantly he played Darth Maul in Star Wars. I just love the badguys, I really do. You have to admit, Wolverine isn't all that good, is he? Well compared to the others on my list he is the good one.
