I found an image of this lovely lovely Kazuya action figure on the internet (Namco's webpage) and I swore that I'd get my hands on one of these.

A lot of people got hurt in the process (see caption of the image of the old article), not to mention the poor cardboard box I shredded to pieces when it arrived today.

But it did arrive, can you imagine. Funnily it was Saturday, July 16th 2005 when I wrote the first article and it was Saturday, July 19th 2008 when I ordered the figure, after spotting it in the newly arrived catalogue.

Anyway, Lara has a companion now...

Tomb Raider Legend will come out in less than 2 weeks and everything is well in the Tomb Raider world.
Except for some minor fights between fellow german-TR-Webmasters. One of them thinks he's the king, and brags about his visitor-count. (Which is, when you look closely, not as high as the one of other german TR websites, but whatever...) Someone even wrecked his whole forum, deleting quite a few subforums.
I have rented Devil May Cry 2 today (I had to choose between 2 and 3, and I thought I might miss something if I started with 3)...

I have to say, I am a bit disappointed.

The graphics are a bit dull (all is somehow browinish/greyish) even compared to Prince of Peria which wasn't as colourful either.

There isn't as much story as I am used to from other games, even Tekken

And you cannot steer the camera... The camera sucked in many games, but at least most offer controls for the cam.

I am also a bit disappointed with the devil-animations. If I compare it to Devil Jin in T5, this is nothing....

Besides the whole game is a bit like the Devil Within mode. Ok, I guess Devil Within copied part of it. But this was luckily just a sidegame, and giving you rankings for combos, collected items and such is ok for a sidegame.

There are also a lot of places where it looks like you can climb/jump up but you can't. In Prince of Persia you could always stand on such ledges.

And if I want to jump down into a pit, that should be my choice - not the invisible walls'.

It's an ok game, but not as brilliant as I thought.

Plus I still get the feeling that Dante is a Kazuya/Devil rip-off with Lee's looks.
Today I've had a glimpse at the PSP. The game tested was F1 Grand Prix. I suck at F1 racing games, but nevertheless the graphics were very convincing. Much better than the DS with it's children games where bubbles were dancing around on the screen.

I almost bought the PSP right away, but I am not that happy with the games selection yet.

Don't be shocked, but today I got my first Tekken Lord. And it is... what a surprise... Kazuya Mishima. So that was it, no more messing with silly hairstyles (windswept hair) and such, a Tekken Lord has to be perfect

It took me two gaming sessions to get there from Expert. First stop was Warlord and next stop was Tekkenlord. Now I need a new left thumb - again.

But what do I do now? That was on ultra hard and there is no more to achieve, I don't care very much about getting all the others up there, to tell you the truth. I want to have a few characters I'm using (Asuka, Devil Jin, Jin, Nina, Heihachi, maybe Hwoarang) ranked Warlord or similar - they have to stay below Kazuya - but that was it. So it's back to playing Survival and Time Attack I guess.

I am still waiting for my copy of "Death by Degrees". I hope it arrives today.

Some game magazines gave it a bad rating for various reasons, but I still think it might be a good game.

I have played the Demo and it was ok. The controls were quite difficult, but after the third try I had gotten used to them. The most difficult part was shooting with the sniper rifle. I didn't like the camera very much, since it showed Nina from the front, and you never knew where you were going.

Let's wait and see. I don't trust other peoples judgement, especially if these other people work for games magazines. They have too much power if you ask me. They decide what is good and what's not. And sometimes I have the feeling they don't have their own opinion. If one sais the game sucks, they all do. If one sais the game is great, they all do.

And the big names or new ideas don't get any chance.

Again it's been a long time since I have posted here.... I was soooooo busy with Tekken 5.

I lost my first save just when I had unlocked almost all 500.000 Custom Items and all of the charas I use had achieved at least a Dan-Rank.... just when the fun was about to begin.

So a week ago (Saturday) I bought a set of new memory cards and I am now almost back where I was before the loss. Except that I don't have a rank in Survival (yet) and that Kazuya is missing his 3rd Eye and Devil Horns on the kick outfit.

There are still some other things that need customizing, but I didn't have them before either, so no loss there.

My characters at the moment are:
Kazuya
Asuka
Devil Jin
Jin
Heihachi
Nina

(I have not dumped the following (yet):
Anna
Bruce
Baek
Hwoarang
Eddy)
I have downloaded a new custom level I am currently playing. The title is Lost City Of Tinnos 2 - Search For The Hand Of Rathmore. As you can guess from the title it's a Tinnos style level. The author is Chris Radford, author of countless other levels (good and bad). So far this level has gotten one rating (10 out of 10). It's a 95 MB download.

Today I was successful when paying my local comic store a visit. I had ordered a copy of Troubleseekers (The Collection of the first TR/Witchblade Crossovers) and it had arrived. They had also found the sketch cover #9. And the long awaited Comic #45 had finally arrived.

When working on the comic section I found, that there are a lot more covers os Issue #1 than have been listed on the inside of the cover. And alas I also couldn't find a picture of the Tower Record Exclusive which I don't own.
